Three ways to work with us. Every fee is quoted for your project, in writing, before work starts.
Genbays works in three ways: a workflow review of one to two weeks, a fixed-scope build quoted after design, and a monthly improvement retainer. Fees depend on the project, so we quote each one after we understand it. Code ownership and warranty terms are agreed with you and written into the statement of work. Hosting and third-party licences are extra and passed through at cost.
01 · Workflow review
Study your workflow. Keep the map.
1 to 2 weeks. A workflow map, numbers on the leaks, and a plan with a first-release quote.
Quoted once we know how many teams and workflows are in scope.
02 · Fixed-scope build
The first release, at a price fixed after design.
Design and prototype first. Then scope and price are fixed and we build in 4 to 12 weeks with weekly demos. Data migration and training included.
Quoted after design, then fixed for the first release.
03 · Improvement retainer
Measure, fix, take on the next bottleneck.
Monthly, cancel with notice. Monitoring, fixes within agreed times, and an improvement list you own.
Quoted monthly, sized to the software we're supporting.
What moves the price
- How many workflows the first release covers
- How many tools it has to connect to, and whether they have APIs

- Whether people in the field or on the floor need their own screens
- Sector controls: records retention, e-invoicing, access logs
Always included
- Code ownership and warranty, agreed in your statement of work
- Training for the people who'll use it
- Weekly demos during the build
- Security, accessibility and data protection built in
Extra, at cost
- Cloud hosting, billed by the provider or through us
- Third-party licences, such as WhatsApp Business messaging or SMS
- Travel outside Tamil Nadu for on-site Study
Tax and payment
Your quote states the fee, the tax and the payment schedule. Nothing is added later that the quote didn't name.
We're not registered for GST yet, so no GST is added until we are. Your quote will say which applies.
Questions people ask us
Why is the build quoted after design, not before?
Because before design, any number is a guess, and guesses get padded. After a week or two of design we know the screens, the integrations and the data. Then we fix the price and hold it.
What happens if the build runs over?
If it's our estimate that was wrong, that's on us. If the scope changed, you'll have had a written estimate before we started the new part.
Do you take a deposit?
Yes, by milestone. The schedule is in the quote. The refund policy is on the legal pages.
Can we pay monthly?
For the retainer, yes, that's how it works. For a build, we can spread milestones. Ask.
